The manufacturing industry is experiencing an ongoing technician shortage with no end in sight. When it comes to attracting employees to the field, and retaining current employees, companies need to think out of the box. Filling the industry’s labor gap is no easy feat, however there are several strategies that companies could leverage to address this issue.  

In her most recent 2-Minute Workforce Tactic Video, AEM’s Vice President of People Strategy Julie Davis outlines several steps that manufacturers can take to address the technician shortage. From supporting high school programs to checking in with current employees, manufacturers need to take an increasingly active role if they want to build their workforce.
